Love Like Jesus

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” – John 13:34–35 (NIV)

Jesus set the standard—not to love others as they deserve, but as He loves us: patiently, faithfully, tenderly, and with great grace. His love is not reactive but proactive. To love like Jesus is to love those who fail, fall, or frustrate us with compassion and commitment.

Jesus loved Judas, washed Peter’s feet, and forgave His accusers. This is the model of real love.

Imagine Jesus kneeling before you, basin in hand, washing your feet with gentleness and grace—fully aware of your flaws, yet loving without hesitation. Then see yourself standing, turning toward others with the same heart, ready to serve, forgive, and embrace even the hardest to love.
