Scripture: James 4:7 "Submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee."

Meditation: Submission gives power to resistance. Spiritual authority does not operate independently of God; it works under obedience to Him. When we submit ourselves to God, we position ourselves to stand firmly against the works of the enemy.

Resistance becomes powerful when it flows from surrender to God. We do not resist the devil in our own strength. We stand under God's authority, trust His Word, and refuse to give fear, temptation, or opposition control over our lives.

True authority begins with submission. Stay under God's authority, and walk confidently in the power He gives you.

• Stay under God’s authority to walk in divine power.

Is there an area of your life where God is calling you to surrender more fully so you can walk in greater obedience and confidence?

Confession:

• I am submitted to God.
• I stand firmly in His authority, and the devil flees from me.
• I walk in obedience, confidence, and the power God has given me.
